Emergency Medical in Thailand for James Dunn Jr
Donation protected
On the evening of November 7, James Dunn Jr was in a serious accident while visiting the Island of Koh Phayam in southern Thailand. Only an hour before he was supposed to attend his father's wedding, James Jr was in a major motorbike accident which resulted in him sustaining traumatic injuries to his brain, road rash, severe lacerations, a broken elbow, and other serious injuries currently being assessed in hospital. James Jr was travelling from Nanaimo BC, Canada to Thailand with his older brother Isaac at the time. His brother and father rushed to the scene and under serious duress, ensured James Jr was rushed off-island. With his severe injuries, James Jr endured over an hour on a small speedboat racing through the dark to the closest city. He was admitted to hospital in Ranong, Thailand that evening.
Due to the serious nature of his injuries, James Jr requires a high level of care and was transferred by ambulance to the ICU at the Bangkok International Hospital in Hua Hin, Thailand the evening of November 8 where he is currently receiving further testing and care.
James Jr has shown extreme bravery and grit. He is currently breathing on his own and holding out well, given the severity of his injuries. James Sr and Isaac are by his side. His mother Janice is currently en-route to Thailand to be with them.
His family is incurring large medical costs for his emergency care, medical transfer, and hospitalization in Hua Hin. Funds raised through GoFundMe will go directly to his care.
Thank you so much for giving & Please spread the word. Kind thoughts for James Jr, his brothers Isaac and Drew, and his parents, Janice and James Sr.
This is an evolving situation, Updates will be posted.
