Emergency medical funds for Henry Reichenberg
Donation protected
Recently Henry was diagnosed with cancer after having a sudden swelling in his neck around his cervical lymph nodes. Burkett lymphoma is a rare but highly aggressive and fast growing B-cell non-Hodgkin lymphoma. Because it is extremely aggressive, diagnosis of this disease is frequently a medical emergency, requiring urgent hospitalization and rapid start of therapy. However, it is often very responsive to currently recommend intensive combination chemotherapy regimens, and cure rates are high. This is the outcome we are all hoping for in Henry’s situation.
The family is currently in Minnesota at the Children’s Minneapolis Hospital at the request of the doctors in Montana so he can receive the best care possible. He has completed his initial treatment to shrink the tumor. He will soon be admitted to surgically implant the port that he will receive his chemotherapy from.
It is uncertain how how long their stay will be there, but it is anticipated to be 4-6 months. There will be many unknown, unexpected and uncompensated expenses that they will be incurring. We are turning to their loved ones, friends and work families to contribute any amount possible to help with the financial burden. Any unused funds would be donated to the non-profit hospital that is helping Henry with his fight.
We thank you so much for caring about Henry and the challenge he is facing. There has already been so much support and love shown to the family and they very much appreciate it. Please visit www.caringbridge.org/visit/henryreichenberg for updates from the family.
