Hi, my name is Ava, and I’m reaching out for support. My cat Booba has been my best friend and emotional support animal for the past four years, and he recently suffered a life-threatening medical emergency which has put me under severe financial strain.

Due to my living situation, I can’t control everything that comes into my apartment. Booba consumed a large amount of highly toxic flowers my roommate brought home, which led to him being hospitalized and in critical condition for four days. I am incredibly thankful that he recovered and is back home with me, but he sustained severe kidney damage from the toxins. This requires him to be on a special diet and receive routine vet care every month to ensure his kidney levels haven't worsened.

While my roommate initially agreed to cover at least half of the vet bill, they have not followed through. I’ve been left with the full responsibility for Booba’s care, which has exceeded my financial capacity. I’m on a payment plan, but the accumulating interest and high monthly payments have put an unbearable strain on my finances.

I’ve been unable to pay my full rent for the past two months, and my savings are almost entirely depleted. Despite my best efforts to manage, I can’t do this alone.
