Emergency Medical Expenses for Mike Sherman
Donation protected
Amidst all of this commotion going on in the world, my dad was rushed to the hospital in Salmon with extreme chest pains, and life flighted to St. Patrick’s Hospital in Missoula, Montana. They soon found the chest pains were due cardiac arrest due to inflammation around the lining of his heart, and after some testing he was diagnosed with a rare viral infection called “Myocarditis [which] is usually caused by a viral infection. A severe case can weaken the heart, which can lead to heart failure, abnormal heartbeat, and sudden death”. This condition in found in “fewer than 200,000 US cases per year”. This was a huge shock to us, as he lives a very healthy lifestyle and has just turned 43 on March 18th.
With this condition, he has to be out of work and recover for at least 3-6 months in order to cure this condition. This also means he has a compromised immune system, and he now has a higher risk of contracting the larger virus, COVID-19. We plan to take every precaution possible to keep him, and everyone around him safe. However, this is rather difficult as he is self-employed with his own construction company, M&S Custom Building. He currently is supporting not only himself, but me as well. I still am a high school student living at home and cannot work full-time at my current job.
My sister, Shantell Sherman, and I ask that if you are willing to take time and donate to help pay for these unexpected medical bills (life flight, stay in hospital, testing, etc) as well as help him with the upcoming bills (power, gas, groceries, etc.) he will not be able to cover in the next upcoming months, my dad and I would be extremely grateful. Thank you so much for taking the time to read this, and please stay healthy. ♥️
