It happened moments after this photo was taken. Our friend Jamie Fletcher had not returned to Washington State University in the 40 years since attending school there. He'd returned for our Sigma Chi fraternity reunion September 20. While talking with a former sheriff trained in medical care and standing near an ER doc, Jamie collapsed. It was a heart attack. Before his knees could even hit the ground, Jamie was being treated. Pulse revived, color returned, breathing again. By the time 911 arrived, he was sitting upright. But Jamie doesn't have sufficient insurance or funds to pay the hospital care, the follow up treatment in Portland, OR, or get himself back to health.
