On October 7, 2022 Sapphire Madison Grace Adams was born a month early weighing 3 lbs. 10 oz. She was born in Guatemala and is not receiving the proper care she needs, and desperately needs to get to America. Sapphire was born with a genetic birth defect called Crouzon Syndrome. And despite the Doctors and medical staff knowing this and telling the parents they refuse to officially diagnose her. She isn’t getting any treatment for her condition which is the “underlying” issue for all the complications that are and have been arising since her birth. The conditions at the hospital are not acceptable, and the last straw for me was her most recent UTI due to not cleaning her properly or changing her diaper often enough. I can’t tell you how helpless we feel in this situation.
Her parents went to the U. S. Embassy to try and get some help, but we’re told all they could do was a Medical Evacuation but they had to pay for it in full. That is an astronomical amount of money. The other option was to wait until she was released from the hospital. We have been waiting and in the month she has been there many issues have arose. She just had a blood transfusion and now her little body is retaining fluid.
Sapphire desperately needs to get to America where she can immediately be properly diagnosed and with a team that can map out a course for her future care. Time is not on our side, this precious baby deserves a fighting chance and at the very least to be properly taken care of in a clean and safe environment.
PLEASE SHARE this if you see it. PLEASE PRAY for a miracle, because it is going to take just that to make this happen! It sounds impossible, but if enough people gave $1 we could be able to get Sapphire to America and the Urgent care that she so desperately needs. Thank you all for reading this, your prayers and for sharing!
