Emergency Medical Bill Fund for Connor

Donation protected
My name is Drew McTier and I am raising money for my best friend Connor Ruvolo's recent medical expenses.

I received a call from Connor's dad, monday night on September 28, 2020. He told me that Connor is in the hospital after his mom found him on the floor of his room, seizing.  Connor's mom, Kristin, rushed him to the nearest hospital and while they were waiting, Connor had another seizure.  They ran a CT scan at the hospital and found that Connor had ruptured his spleen, and the seizures were the result of the internal bleeding (Connor was not getting enough oxygen to his brain).  Connor was then taken to a bigger hospital after finding out he needed life saving emergency surgery, and that the current hospital had no blood left in their blood bank. Once he arrived at St Joseph's Hospital they took him into surgery and by this time he had lost so much blood that his heart rate was through the roof and his blood pressure was almost non-existant, he then flatlined for 25 minutes. Connor's body temperature dropped to 84 degrees and he received 7 liters of blood. The medical team did not give up on Connor and they eventually got a pulse. The anesthesiologist came out and talked to his family and I and told us that she has seen miracles happen at this hospital and for us to pray and not give up hope despite him receiving no oxygen to his brain for 25 minutes.  We all got kicked out of the hospital except for Connor's parents due to the Covid-19 restrictions. All we could do was hope and pray that Connor would make it through the night. We were all stuck worrying if Connor would live, and if he did wake up would he have irreparable brain damage. As the days went on I would receive small updates from his parents via text messages. They would state that Connor woke up today or Connor opened his eyes for a minute and looked at his mom. A week after the incident I received a call from Connor and I couldn't believe how good he sounded and that he knew who I was. I have talked to Connor just about every day and at this point it has been almost 2 weeks and Connor is still in the hospital and will be there for probably atleast another 2 weeks. We can not express how grateful we are for the medical professionals at St Josephs Hospital for saving Connor's life. I am making this GoFundMe for Connor and his family because I can not begin to think of the stress his family has undergone. I can only try to alleviate a little bit of that stress by trying to raise some money for his hospital bills.

Thank you so much and please consider donating anything you can to help my friend Connor.
