Hi, My name is Jakela. This fundraiser aims to raise enough money to pay La'Tosha medical insurance premium and assist me with lodging, gas, and food to be there for her.

La'Tosha was admitted to the hospital on 3/15/2022 in Laurel, Mississippi, after complaining of headaches for over 3 months. Everything took a turn for the worst on 3/17/2022 when she started having seizures. She was diagnosed with meningitis, inflammation of the brain, pneumonia and a UTI. On 3/18/2022, she was placed on a ventilator. Test results came back yesterday (3/29/22), and now she's also diagnosed Anti-NMDA receptor encephalitis, an autoimmune disease. To receive the life-saving treatment she needs, she has to be transferred to Baton Rogue, Louisana hospital, which is 2 hours and 54 minutes from Mississppi. La'Tosha and I job recently shut down, and her medical insurance expires tomorrow, 3/31/2022, which is 30 days from our last day of employment. In order to keep her insurance active $826 has to be paid by tomorrow 3/31/2022. All of her family are located in North Carolina. I have been by her side since she was admitted on 3/15. I'm willing to continue to be by her side and go to Louisana with her so she won't be alone. Which means I'm going to need assists with lodging,food and gas. She has 3 beautiful child that means the world to her. With everyones help she'll be able to be reunited with her kids soon. This could take weeks or even months until she's back to normal.
