Manchester Half Marathon for Emergency Medical Aid
Donation protected
I'm running the Great Manchester Half Marathon on 18th May 2025 to raise money for Medical Aid in Gaza.
In light of the devastating humanitarian crisis in Gaza, I’ve decided to dedicate my run to support emergency medical relief through the Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) — an independent humanitarian organisation that is part of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement.
Over the past 18 months, tens of thousands of people in Gaza — many of them children — have lost their lives. Amidst the ongoing conflict, access to critical healthcare, emergency response, and basic medical services has been severely impacted.
Recently, I was especially moved by news of first responders and medics losing their lives while carrying out rescue missions. In honour of their courage and sacrifice, I’ve chosen to raise funds for the PRCS Emergency Master Plan, which supports emergency healthcare operations over the next two years.
The PRCS provides:
- Emergency medical services and ambulance response.
- A network of hospitals and clinics across Gaza, the West Bank, and Lebanon.
- Blood donation campaigns and blood bank operations.
- Mental health and psychosocial support services.
All funds will be donated directly to the PRCS. Your contribution will help ensure that vital medical aid reaches those who need it most, regardless of political or religious affiliation.
Thank you so much for your support and solidarity
