Hey everybody my name is Nicole... I am a mom of 2 beautiful boys

On December 9th,2025, I was awakened at 2am by severe abdominal cramping. Thankfully something in me told me I needed to call Kaiser right away and I did.

I ended up driving myself to the emergency room in severe pain and being admitted to the hospital with a hole in my intestine. Within a few hours I was in the operating room having Laproscopic exploratory surgery with intestine ressection.

Still don't understand how it happened but my small intestine wrapped around itself and killed 4 ft of itself.

So very thankful I got there in time because these situations don't always turn out like mine.

I ended up in the hospital for 7 days and I'm home healing now.

I hate to have to ask others to help pay for the medical bills and my medical costs but at this moment in time everybody is struggling and that's me included.

Kaiser gave me a huge discount but it's still a large amount $5,500.

During that time we also found a very small nodule in my lungs, too small to biopsy but it will need to be monitored.

With all health care subsidies collapsing with Covered California, my district doesn't offer affordable healthcare it was negotiated out of the contract years ago, it now has skyrocketed my healthcare costs above my means, as with millions of others. I was going to tough it out until this surgery. unfortunately I cannot tough out healing a newly repaired bowel and I need my health care for follow up mental health and CT scans. My children also need their healthcare.

I'm putting this out there for anybody who is able to donate to somebody in need, there are so many out there.

Kaiser allows a 3 month grace period for not paying my premium which is what I'm going to have to do in the meantime.

I have a long journey ahead of me of healing and recovery and I'm just asking if anybody is able to help.

I'll be able to return back to work in another week with modified duty but the healing process for this can take a few months.
