Life Remembrance Fund for Jose Luis Ahumada

Dec.4th: It is with complete and utter heartbreak to share that our Father has been called to heaven. His last surgery had complications and his infected right lung that was drained began to collapse after stitches had ripped. He was taken back to the hospital in the morning to have a second surgery to repair it and suffered a massive heart attack. Covid-19 not only affects your lungs, it affects the heart and brain and all of your organs and you just don’t know how severe it will hit. He was a man with no pre-existing conditions. Words cannot express our deepest gratitude for your prayers and your support. His ashes will be brought back to the US and when things are safe...we will share service arrangements with all. We thank you for your understanding as we grieve this immense loss.

Oct: 22nd Our father Jose Luis Ahumada is fighting for his life, please help in any way you can!  We appreciate any amount as we are needing to pay the hospital he is staying in to care for him at an unimaginable expense of $4,000.00 every 2 days he is in hospital.  Your help will go towards helping us cover these costs for his treatment in hospital and help us pay for his care once he is released, which we hope and pray is soon.   Please share and keep him in your prayers!

Our dad traveled to Guadalajara, Mexico for the anniversary of his mother’s passing.  While there, our dad contracted Covid-19. His first symptoms started with his stomach not feeling well, he thought maybe he ate something bad. He then started losing his sense of taste. He had zero appetite for days. He rapidly developed a cough and shortness of breath and became very lethargic. Over the course of a week, he took TWO covid tests and both came back negative. His symptoms then escalated to the point of him needing oxygen to breathe. He made an appointment to get a THIRD test on the morning of Sunday October 18th, but before he could make it there, the virus had taken over his body and he became unconscious and was found on the floor of his hotel room.  He was transported immediately by ambulance to a hospital.  His insurance does not cover his expenses and we are at a loss of words for how this has affected our family and our dad.

He has collapsed, damaged lungs and pneumonia.

Our Dad is a healthy man! With ZERO underlying conditions. He was not on any medications, he is a young 63 year old man. Yet this virus took over his body with a vengeance!

It can happen to any of us. And even in the healthiest of states, it is apparent that this virus can take over our bodies.

Agradecemos cualquier cantidad, ya que tenemos que pagarle al hospital en el que se está quedando para cuidarlo a un gasto inimaginable de $ 4,000.00 cada 2 días que está en el hospital. Nuestro padre viajó a Guadalajara, México para el aniversario del fallecimiento de su mamá. Mientras estaba allí, nuestro padre contrajo Covid-19. Sus primeros síntomas comenzaron con un malestar en el estómago, pensó que tal vez había comido algo malo. Luego comenzó a perder el sentido del gusto. No tuvo apetito durante días. Rápidamente desarrolló tos y dificultad para respirar y se volvió muy letárgico. En el transcurso de una semana, tomó DOS pruebas de covid y ambas resultaron negativas. Luego, sus síntomas se intensificaron hasta el punto de necesitar oxígeno para respirar. Hizo una cita para hacerse una TERCERA prueba la mañana del domingo 18 de octubre, pero antes de que pudiera llegar allí, el virus se había apoderado de su cuerpo y quedó inconsciente y fue encontrado en el piso de su habitación de hotel. Fue trasladado inmediatamente en ambulancia a un hospital. Su seguro no cubre sus gastos y no sabemos cómo esto ha afectado a nuestra familia y a nuestro padre.

Ha colapsado, pulmones dañados y neumonía.

¡Nuestro papá es un hombre sano! Con CERO condiciones subyacentes. No estaba tomando ningún medicamento, es un joven de 63 años. ¡Sin embargo, este virus se apoderó de su cuerpo con una venganza!

Nos puede pasar a cualquiera. E incluso en los estados más saludables, es evidente que este virus puede apoderarse de nuestros cuerpos.
