EMERGENCY KITTEN

We were told earlier about a lifeless kitten one minute playing the next not moving at all , barely breathing just clinging on to life by a thread . The owner wanted help we agreed as this baby was suffering and was just gonna be left to slowly die a painful death if we didn't step In . The owner agreed to sign kitten over. We rushed straight there then straight to the emergency vets . Picking her up was heartbreaking she was floppy and not responsive at all . She looked like she had passed away the whole journey to the emergency vet was traumatic. I just kept thinking she had gone and then suddenly would see a tiny breath my heart was in my mouth the hole way there . The vet rushed her through immediately to the back to work on her . We used a different emergency vet to usuall as we just had to get her to closest place possible but they were fab . Once she was in their Care I had Time to speak to the owner then and find out what happened . He though she has licked some oil of his plate which had salmon on it . However we didn't feel this was the cause we checked ingredients non were toxic . I asked lots of question to figure the cause . It had turned out recently he had used frontline household flea spray this contains chemical toxic to cats ( all house flea sprays are poisonous to cats ) . This explained why this kitten was so poorly . We cant for definite be sure this is the reason but its seem the most likely cause . The vets said she was in critical condition she was cold and her heart was slow and she was unresponsive. We want to give her a chance though so they are giving her emergency care . We are going to call her Princess . Just got to hope the wonderful vet can work their magic and this girl isn't to far gone. We have to try be realistic to she is super super poorly but holding hope she can fight with the amazing support of the vets.

No current pictures time was of the essence the priority was getting her to the vets . The owner did send us an old picture which we have used here .

This kind of emergency care doesn't come cheap the vets estimated that the kitten care is gonna be 1500-2000 just for the next 24 hrs and evey day that price will go up . They also want the bill clearing fast they asked for payment every 24 hrs. So we desperately need your help to get this money together fast . It's a lot of money but we couldn't let this cat suffer and with your support we can give her the best chance at life . We also need you help now more than ever because we have over £7000 outstanding at different vets already how can we ignore these cats who desperately need us though.

When we collected the kitten we made an agreement to take the mum as well as we didn't want her to continue to bw uses for breeding. Mama isn't in great condition but she is much brighter then kitten she had recieved vet care too . We will do another post on her condition just glad no more breeding for her .

It's so scary how dangerous and toxic to cats these flea products and sprays are yet they are sold in such big supermarkets and pet shops . Please always read the label never spray house flea sprays on cats or in the same room as the Pets. If you have to use them please don't let the pet in the room for 8 hours at least and air it out first and don't spray near any water or food bowls .

We have changed the amount from 2000 to 11,000 because we have that outstanding for other cats at other vets too .

The estimate for 24hrs is 1500- 2000 she is likely gonna need at least a few days of care so this is going to rise.
