Hi, my name is Hailey, and I’m asking for help to save my dog, Thalia.

Thalia is my 4-year-old French Bulldog and my entire world. A few days ago, everything changed when she suddenly lost the ability to walk due to Intervertebral Disc Disease (IVDD) a spinal condition common in Frenchies that can cause sudden paralysis.

We rushed her to a neurologist, where she was evaluated and placed on medications. While she is currently unable to move her back legs, the neurologist confirmed something incredibly important: Thalia still has feeling in her back paws.

Because she still has deep pain sensation, the neurologist told me that with MRI imaging and surgery, she has a 95% chance of a full recovery. This means she can walk again. She can have her life back, but only if we act quickly.

The estimated cost for the MRI and surgery is just over $15,000, and I simply do not have the financial ability to cover this on my own. I have exhausted every option available to me, and asking for help is the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do.

Watching her lie there confused and scared, not understanding why her legs won’t move, has been absolutely heartbreaking. She is still the same happy, loving dog inside, and knowing she has such a strong chance to recover makes this even harder to accept without trying everything possible.
