Update - 25th Nov 12pm.

All ten rabbits were picked up and brought to Hoppy Acre. Everyone is doing ok and had a positive 18 hours. All images are udate to what we have taken since we picked them up including how they were living before.

On Monday, 24th November, we received a phone call that left us deeply worried. We were told about a family of te rabbits — a doe, a buck, and seven, 18–20-day-old babies.

All of them are still living together, which immediately raised alarms.

Not only is mum still with dad, but she has never been separated from him since giving birth, which means she is almost certainly pregnant again. This is incredibly dangerous and heartbreaking, as no doe should be forced to raise litters back-to-back.

Taking in these nine rabbits means urgent, unavoidable costs for us:

8 Spays – approx. £1,400

1 Neuter – £124

9 Nobivac vaccinations – £660

9 Yurvax vaccinations – £400

That’s already over £2,500, and it does not include the cost of potentially more babies being born.

We rarely fundraise for help, but this situation is truly urgent. Mum will likely need an emergency spay to prevent her from enduring a second exhausting pregnancy. If her tests come back healthy and safe, we will do everything we can to give her body the rest and recovery it desperately needs. It does mean that the new litter would be aborted.
