My name is Antiqua, and together with Ocean and Sky, we are begging for help for our family, our church, and our neighbours in Rat Trap District, Westmoreland, Jamaica, who have been devastated by the recent hurricane. Right now, we still can’t reach our grandmother or my mother’s siblings. The phone lines are down. We don’t even know if they are safe. The pain of not hearing their voices has been unbearable. Reports from others in the parish have broken our hearts homes are gone, roofs ripped away, church destroyed, and families left standing in floodwaters with nothing but the clothes on their backs.

Rat Trap is a small rural village, often forgotten with no emergency support, no relief trucks, and no shelter. Elderly people are stranded, children are crying, and families are praying for a miracle. We are in the UK, doing everything we can but our little pocket money can’t fix this.
