Emergency Housing Support for Dylan and Alexandria

Donation protected
On Wednesday, April 15, Alexandria and Dylan's basement apartment flooded with inches of water throughout the unit.

In an instant, the home became unsafe to live in. They have been displaced with no confirmed place to stay, no support or assistance from the landlord or property manager, while trying to navigate unimaginable health and financial challenges.

Dylan is living with terminal stage 4 cancer and requires ongoing treatments, in-home care, rest, and a stable, clean environment. He cannot work, and his health makes this housing crisis especially urgent. Alexandria is self-employed, but her ability to work has also been heavily impacted as a caregiver and as they try to manage this emergency.

They are urgently in need of immediate, pet-friendly housing for themselves, their cat Lucy, and their 120-pound senior mastiff, Lola.

They are already financially stretched beyond what most people could manage. Dylan cannot work, Alexandria’s work has been significantly impacted, and they are facing immediate costs they simply do not have the means to cover on their own. They are in crisis and urgently need financial support to get through the coming days and weeks.

This situation is nothing short of overwhelming. They are pursuing legal support and exploring every option available, but those processes take time. Right now, the immediate focus has to be on keeping Dylan safe, housed, and supported during treatment.

If you know Dylan and Alexandria, you know they are compassionate, generous people who have always shown up for others. They lead with kindness, support their community, and give what they can whenever someone else is in need.

Now they need help.

Any donation, no matter the size, will make a real difference right now. Even small contributions add up and can make a big impact towards basic necessities while they try to rebuild some stability.

Donations will go toward:

* Immediate living expenses and a safe and stable new apartment for May 1
* Storage and moving costs
* Replacement of furniture, household items, and essentials such as personal items damaged in the flood
* Food, transportation to and from frequent hospital visits, and basic living expenses during this unexpected displacement
* Home care needs and additional medical-related costs while Dylan continues treatment

This situation has turned their lives even further upside down. They were already carrying more than most people can imagine with never ending challenges at every turn.

They are doing everything they can, but they cannot do this alone. The reality is that they need financial help urgently in order to stay safe, secure housing, and make it through this devastating setback.

If you are able to donate, share this page, or help connect them with housing, movers, storage, furniture, legal support, or other resources, it would mean everything to Alexandria and Dylan.

Please reach out directly to [email redacted] if you have resources or connections that may help.

Thank you for helping to keep Dylan safe and supported while they work toward finding stable housing and some peace during an incredibly difficult time.
