Emergency housing solution ANDREW JENSEN (Patrick) BANDREW

I'm bad at this, so I'm going to be direct. Andrew Jensen has been displaced and is in need of emergency housing. Through a series of events and details I will touch on below...that emergency housing has taken the shape of a van.
Nuts and Bolts of it is: the van has been bought and secured as of a couple days ago, but I can't make this fully happen for Andrew without help from his friends, fans, and family.
- I am asking to raise 3,000.00 (or more) to cover the purchase price, new tires, road legal DOT plate+tag+insurance stuffs, campground fees for a couple months, and if there happens to be more donations leftover...it will go on a gas/kroger card.
- Andrew is currently sleeping outside in covington without protection from the elements.
Buckle Up for details: I assume you clicked on the fundraiser because you have at least seen Andrew Jensen around the NKY/Cincinnati music scene, gigging, busking after a show... or know him directly, and understand some of the plight I'm eluding to.
Andrew is a skilled multi type stringed instrument player (banjo, guitar, mandolin, bass, etc.) and his talent is focused on the Bluegrass genre. He has played in many bands throughout the last few years and definitely has a voice when it comes to picking, but not always a social voice in a crowd.
He was born and raised in Campbell County KY. This last year has even led him into bagpipe dabbling...Andrew's goal is to never stop learning anything and everything having to do with MUSIC. His most recent employment aspiration was with the Ohio Renn Faire...but unfortunately without transportation, adequate outdoor living, or means of hotel left him without that dream of a musical job. Andrew has no hope to establish himself from the curb with just a backpack.
Back to square one. Andrew is behind the the start. He is living outside without even a tent, nor the physical body to drag heavy gear around with him night by night. Andrew isn't welcome in his family home due to his parents not accepting his neurodivergence and has been placed on the streets of Covington KY with no plan or means to escape.
October 2024 Andrew got notice that the property he had been living at for the last four years would be sold out from under he and his girlfriend, Sharon. The house had been lived in for the last 10 years with Sharon and her daughter as the sole occupants, leading up to his arrival, and also evicted.
Before the sheriff enforced eviction of the property, Andrew was unable to get paperwork filed that would aid in his solo housing. Sharon and her daughter were able to get a "Section8" voucher to fund their housing...Andrew is ineligible to live with them further. Sharon is still very much in Andrew's life but she is unable to house him (she still hasn't found housing for herself despite the voucher). She has been driving him to his appointments and gigs while searching for housing. I could write a whole story about her struggles outside of trying to care for herself while on disability while trying to be a social worker for Andrew in addition to being a biological parent to her daughter...and try to be his girlfriend to top off that run on sentence end of story novel ;-)
Obviously there are many details in-between October 2024 and July 2025....but the immediate need for emergency intervention, is that we got here by Andrew's inability to focus on anything other than music, lack of support network, and extreme executive disfunction (with no professional assistance).
Truth that is yet to be told about Andrew, is that he is undiagnosed with Autism. (or similar diagnosis combo with ADHD and acute anxiety***but that will be left to the pros now that he is receiving social service care via NorthKey Organization in KY***I am not the professional). He is aware he is different, but none of that is shameful...its shameful he never got the diagnosis as a youth that he could now lean on for disability or specialized housing. Many of you who have interacted with Andrew will only find it shocking that he has NO previous diagnosis (that is a whole other whole book of details with baskets of laundry stacked one top).
What is different about this story: All of Andrew's recent help has came via friends who understand that he is different and doesn't need to sleep outside because of it.
The autism, (I brought up with permission), is what is keeping Andrew from going into a shelter. He is attached to his instruments. When a person goes to a shelter, their personal belongings are kept from them under lock and key for certain hours of the day/night. He is unwilling to part with his instruments for that long, and because of that inability (through lack of diagnosis), he is outside.
Andrew had temporary, friend based housing that ended, but not before he got linked up with NorthKey and some other positive things (like getting on Medicaid) started happening. All my mentions of neurodivergency, and diagnosis will come with participation...that is in the works, as Andrew himself, has already started the process.
He can't be on a park bench sleeping and going to therapy sessions with much success. His desire is to be self sufficient and work a job that is music focused...a van can make that happen for him. His immediate family isn't willing to help...so I asking your help to make this happen for Andrew (my role is to help put the pieces together), and so he has an asset of a sleep-able vehicle, in his name.
Andrew can't be bullied into being a "regular person" through tough love, nor did the magic number of 18 make him a fully ready for flight fledgeling. He will learn no lesson of being subjected the natural elements without shelter, but only harm from others, and potential homelessness criminality of just being someone with nowhere to go.
Being left without space to exist in somewhat private dignity, should be the fate of no one. I say that...but here we are. He is a licensed driver and will have something more than just his legs to get by (with help of friends of course).
Please help me get Andrew back on the road...(of daily functioning life)....and this thing purrs like a kitten with a platform bed in addition to solar power. Here is the original marketplace listing...you can click on the movie with sound and listen :-) It is more than a glorified tent. https://www.facebook.com/share/16fbgGK17t/
Obviously this isn't a "daily driver" and is intended to be on private property to serve as a RV for Andrew to sleep in out of the elements with his guitars safe.
I'm willing to do all the leg work and complete the minor repairs...I just need help with the funds. As many of you know...I had a fundraiser/bennifet almost 2 years ago via friends after a cancer diagnosis...that is a moot point aside from me pulling funds emergency style to get this going in the right direction from others being so kind to me. Of course that is another chapter in the encyclopedia of "we all have issues"...but some are more immediate than others.
Beyond this post...I'm gonna work on a benefit concert for a few players who wanna share music as a way to get this crowd funding ask completed. Andrew is loved by many talented people and if "you" are one of those people who wanna play for a lil life support show/host a bake sale...please email or DM with Andrew Jensen / Andrew Patrick as the subject. He has been hovering near his favorite music establishments on both sides of the Ohio River for help, so that is what we are going to do...
Andrew is too shy to ever write this, but is thankful for the effort...I'm doing all this with permission and using my voice where he is unsure how to. Step by step...we walk each other home.
If you actually read all this, to this point... Please help. Every dollar goes towards building a van shaped asset for him. Thanks for your consideration. Message me with any questions or campground information. This is all happening quickly and I need all the help I can get navigating this.
