Hi friends,

Im asking for help for a friend of mine. He’s struggling asking for help but we know we need the communities help to get through this. I’ve known D ( to protect his identity) for 15 years. He’s always been a hard worker and never asked for help. Unfortunately he was at a private job and had a mishap and broke his knee so he’s not able to work. He is currently getting OW ( $685) a month but no other funds.

He is going to be homeless as of Sunday with his 2 dogs. While he has a car he isn’t even able to drive it. He has a friend coming to walk the dogs daily but we are desperately trying to find housing asap to keep him out of his car. He has a support worker but has been denied ODSP and is currently appealing. This money will be used to get D and his dogs into a motel/ hotel or even a place to rent for temporary housing for a few weeks or longer. The housing crisis is so bad!! Any extra money will help with groceries , dog food and gas. If anyone needs to see receipts , cost of hotel etc I encourage you to msg me to prove this is a legit 

situation.

We have secured a pet friendly hotel for 1 week. But are still trying to find longer term housing. If anyone has connection to pet friendly rental pls reach out.
