It’s been hard to get this call for help out because there are so many things I need to express all at once. All my attempts these past months have led to overload and difficulty getting the dire need of my current situation out and known.

If there is ever a time when I have needed community and support, it is now.

Presently, I am facing eviction and the loss of my home.

This would be devastating, as I have finally created a healthy, supportive home for myself after years of dealing with chronic illness and instability. This space has provided the conditions necessary to support my recovery, and I’m afraid of what displacement could do to the progress I’ve made. That the process of transitioning would take all my energy & focus from the work I need to do and show up for in the world (more on that in a later post).

I need help.

I am currently facing the loss of my home after my former roommate broke our lease agreement. At the time this was unfolding, I was dealing with autoimmune flares, chronic endometrial bleeding, grieving the loss of a family member, unexpectedly losing my primary source of income, still not getting access to healthcare all while my beloved Keeta becoming very ill, and I was NOT at all prepared to handle this transition.

After my housemate moved out in October, I was finally able to unpack & settle after 7 months of living in chaos. Since then, I have been able to create the home I have desperately needed for over a decade. I have set up structures that support my ability to keep up with daily tasks, manage my creative projects, and maintain the routines needed to facilitate my recovery process.

In the past 2 months, I have helped myself heal from what seemed to be an extreme development of endometriosis after months of constant bleeding & difficulty walking. I’ve been rewiring my neural pathways & stabilizing my nervous system in ways I didn’t think I could accomplish without professional help. My body is bouncing back, I’m right on track and so close to creating the life that supports my full authentic expression.

My rent this month is due and I don’t know how to cover it. I have laid the foundations for my art & business to succeed & for my functioning to return, but not fast enough to be able to respond to the immediacy of my circumstances.

My very small inner circle of friends and family have been doing everything they can to show up & help me through, but this is bigger then what we all can hold & so I’m reaching out to my greater network. I’ve known that my body is capable of restoring itself back to balance, system regulation & health, and I am once again watching that happen as my body is provided what it needs.
