Hi, I’m raising funds on behalf of my dear friend “S” and her 12 year old daughter who have recently been displaced in Los Angeles. S is a single mother, teacher and incredibly generous woman with a heart of gold. She is kind and hardworking through the hardships she and her daughter have recently faced. Aside from being displaced from their home, her car engine needs to be replaced and she is now commuting by bus and train to get her daughter and herself to work and school on a daily basis. All while not knowing where or when they will find a home within her budget. S works full time during the week as a preschool teacher in Santa Monica and in the kitchen at a local children’s hospital on the weekends. She is accepting my help in an effort to find her and her daughter a more permanent home but in the meantime is staying in a motel near her daughters school in Mar Vista.

the funds we raise here will go towards the temporary housing, fixing her car and hopefully the cost of securing a modest home/apartment near their places of school/work.

Thank you for your generosity for this well deserving little family in their time of need. Nobody should ever have to face times like these alone and it’s an honor to know so many people who share that mindset.
