Emergency Housing for Homeless Olympia Family

Hello,

This sweet family of four is currently homeless due to their rental being sold and not being able to find another affordable housing option. This fundraiser will be used to cover motel stays until they can secure permanent housing. If any money remains, it will go towards a deposit for a new rental when they find one.

 

Also, if you hear of any rentals costing <$800/month that will accept children, please let us know. (Safe shared accommodations are okay). Additionally, if anyone hears of daycare that has openings for DSHS-funded kids, please let us know. If they could access childcare, the dad could find work and the family would have a better chance of securing housing.

 

Additionally, they are fully connected with the Family Support Center (coordinated entry) and with the Olympia school district homeless liaison. They are fully utilizing the available resources but the housing crisis means that there is nothing for them.

UPDATE 4/11/2022:

Due to the overwhelming response of our community, we have decided to shift our goal from simply paying for hotel rooms to getting them set up in permanent housing!!!  This is a miracle and a testament to the power of community!  

We are now looking for referrals for apartments under $1400/ month (including utilities) with landlords who will accept prepayment of rent in lieu of income requirements.  The housing needs to be accessible by bus.
