Emergency hip surgery for my grandma

First of all, thank you for reading this. This fundraiser is for my beautiful grandma, Mayu, who had an accident last Saturday.

 

Unfortunately, Mayu fell last Saturday, February 19th, and broke her right femur and hip. Due to her old age, 78, it’s very difficult to heal by itself and she’s gonna need surgery as soon as possible.

 

The doctor explained to us that the most dangerous thing in her case is a Pulmonary Embolism due to her broken bones.

 

Sadly, the Venezuelan healthcare situation is very precarious and it’s only possible to get the surgery in private hospitals and they are asking for an upfront payment of $6,000 that will cover: prosthetic hip replacement, 2 days of hospitalization and medical expenses.

 

My family and I have been trying to acquire the money, however, we haven’t been able to do it and it’s needed as soon as possible. That’s why are asking for help.

En primer lugar, gracias por leer esto. Esta recaudación de fondos es para mi hermosa abuela, Mayu, quien tuvo un accidente el sábado pasado.

 

Desafortunadamente, Mayu se cayó el pasado sábado 19 de febrero y se fracturó el fémur derecho y la cadera. Debido a su avanzada edad, 78 años, es muy difícil que se cure por sí solo y necesitará cirugía lo antes posible.

 

El médico nos explicó que lo más peligroso en su caso es una Tromboembolismo Pulmonar debido a la fractura. Por eso es que es necesario hacer la operación lo más pronto posible.

 

Lamentablemente, la situación de salud en Venezuela es muy precaria y solo es posible operarse en hospitales privados y piden un pago inicial de $ 6,000 que cubrirá: prótesis de cadera, 2 días de hospitalización y gastos médicos.

 

Mi familia y yo hemos estado tratando de adquirir el dinero, sin embargo, no hemos podido hacerlo y se necesita lo antes posible. Por eso están pidiendo ayuda.
