NYC Hospitals are in URGENT need of Personal Protection Equipment (PPE). The Medical Staff is asking outsiders for help!
Yesterday my 11 year old cancer survivor and I were delivering a goodie bag to a cancer girl at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSKCC) after her surgery. And I had a quick conversation with the person in charge PPE supplies at MSKCC.
Simultaneously, I got an email from our own doctor (see below) whom we have been seeing at MSKCC for last few years with the (long) lists of urgent PPE the medical staff need in ER or in the other areas of the hospital. As you all know at MSKCC the medical staff needs to be even more cautious than at any other hospital as the children and the adult cancer patients are even more vulnerable to COVID-19 due to aggressive chemo treatment.
NYC medical team needs our support. Let us protect our protectors!
