UPDATE : June 16th, 2025
After I was told I was diagnosed with C3 glomerulonephritis. I received a phone call weeks later to come into my doctors office as they made a mistake with my diagnoses. Turns out I do not have C3 glomerulonephritis but I have been confirmed to having Fabry Disease which is an extremely rare disease where my body attacks my Kidneys, Heart and Brain. To hopefully stop the strokes and any further damage to my organs I have to receive Infusions every other week for life. I have been in and out of multiple doctors offices trying to find anyone who has heard of this rare disease. I have finally found a genetic doctor at USF that has heard of it 4x. This doctor is getting me set up with infusions 2x a month. Since the last update April 7th, 2025 I have had multiple other strokes and also been hospitalized for them as well.
My name is Evan Hoffman I am 38 years old. On Friday March 28th, 2025 I was admitted to Tampa General Hospital for having multiple mini strokes on the right side of my brain and a infarct stroke on the left side of my brain which has caused chronic bleeding on the brain and they are concerned of having a hemerage. My memory, vision, balance, awareness has all been affected by the strokes. My blood pressure has been unstable and they have not been able to stablize it. I am also having heart issues that they are not sure what is causing it at this time. My Kidney's are only functioning at 37% GFR. The main artery going into the kidney is stenosis ( main blood vessel supplying blood is narrow). I am currently waiting on results from a kidney biobsy.
I have no insurance and will have to pay out of pocket. I have been here for over a week and doesn't look like I will be leaving any time soon. I will need to get a procedure of getting a stent put into my renal artery. They are still undetermined if that will even fix it. They are still running test on my heart as when I stand my heart rate goes crazy and I get winded.
I am currently out of work and will mostlikely be out for a long time. Anything will help. If you would prefer to donate to my Venmo I have attached it below.

UPDATE:
Today April 7th, 2025
My Nephrologist came in today to inform me that i have a rare form of kidney disease called C3 glomerulonephritis. C3 glomerulonephritis is apparently an Auto-Ammune Disease Disorder that attacks the organ. My Kidney's are currently functioning at 30% which the other day was 37%. When I came in last Friday March 28th, 2025 I was told the next day on Saturday my Kidney's were functioning at 50%. They are currently going down everyday. This disease is so rare that the Nephrology doctor has only seen this 1x and my hospital is not equipped or have the knowledge to take care of this issue. I will have to find another doctor which I'm told I may have to go to Jacksonville Mayo Clinic. I am currently waiting on the rest of the Kidney Biobsy results as they have not received the rest of them. I also had to take a stress test today which I have not received the results for.
