Emergency - Help Save a Puppy's Life
Hi, my name is Stephanie and I am reaching out for some help with an emergency. On my way home from work yesterday a puppy stumbled out of a field toward the road. She made it to the sidewalk and collapsed in the Texas heat. I immediately stopped and ran to her. She was barely breathing, reeked of urine, and covered in fire ants. This beautiful girl couldn't lift her head or open her eyes due to weakness.
I got her to the vet within minutes and they went to work. We don't think she would have made it much longer in that state. Thankfully, she seems to have avoided anything too serious, other than the obvious dehydration, malnourishment, and some swelling. She stayed overnight and is beginning to gain strength. I contacted one of my favorite non-profit rescues, Footbridge Foundation, who is going to help find her a loving home once she fully recovers. I am going to foster her and get her back on her feet. Puppies are dumped like this all the time and I won't let her go to a kill shelter.
Please, help me get this puppy through treatment and prepared to go to a family. She is a miracle and deserves to enjoy a comfortable life. Add in some suggestions for a name for this sweet girl too!
*All proceeds will go directly to the vet bill and Footbridge Foundation for the continued care of the dog. Thank you!
