Rocket is my sweet 4-year-old husky who has always been full of life, love, and energy. Recently, he hasn’t been himself — not eating, not drinking, and not wanting to play or go outside. Last night, when I came home, he was struggling to breathe, and I found a large lump on his throat. At the emergency vet, we were told that Rocket’s lymph nodes all over his body are inflamed. This could be caused by an infection, a parasite, or something as serious as cancer. To find answers and give him the best chance at recovery, he needs more testing and specialized care at UW Hospital. The cost of these tests and treatments is overwhelming, but I want to do everything possible to help Rocket. He means the world to me, and I can’t imagine life without him.
