I am Sameh from Gaza.

My story begins when Israel began its war on the Gaza Strip. Despite all the bombing, destruction, siege, and killing since October 7, my wife, children, and I tried not to leave our home in Gaza City. Unfortunately, we ended up displaced in the city of Rafah, south of the Gaza Strip, after the Israeli army bombed our house while some family members were inside. We fled Gaza City due to the violent bombing. On 02/05/2024, my wife gave birth to a new baby girl. She is so cute. Now, I have three children, the eldest of whom is 4 years old. While we were in the hospital, the Israeli army bombed the hospital gate. Today, we are displaced from our country and facing torment and humiliation in displacement camps on the Egyptian border. I became a forced refugee due to the ongoing war on Gaza. I have applied for a visa to travel to Australia with my family to escape this war, and I have obtained the visa. However, I cannot travel because the crossing is closed by the Egyptian authorities, and they impose huge sums of money for coordination to exit Gaza. I have created this donation link to collect funds to cover these expenses and travel to Australia, where there is safety and security.
