My name is Kamal Anton, I write to you with a plea of help. I am a 20 year old displaced Palestinian enrolled in a nursing department.

 My studies stopped due to the war and now we are displaced. My aunt and grandmother were murdered by a sniper.

My mother worked as an Librarian and my Father is a retired employee.

My mother's family was martyred and we had 18 martyrs after our house was bombed under the pretext that we had somebody working in the press. Only 6 survived from the entire family.

We are in need of basic necessities like a safe place to reside and food.

My beautiful home was destroyed ten months ago and our dreams were shattered with it.

Life before the war:

It was a difficult life but it was beautiful. I have lived through several wars. I witnessed the war of 2008, 2012, 2014 and 2001.

Despite this, life continued and I completed my basic school years and obtained a good grade.

My dream is to join University and study nursing to help my people and gain independence.

Our education and goals:

Before the war, I was studying from the University of Applied Sciences. My sister Amina and brother Mohammad were studying in High School.

Mohammad dreams of becoming a software engineer but his dreams were stolen from him.

In order to be able to attend University I needed funds. My mother encouraged me to learn a profession. During vacation, I took a resturant job and worked for a period in which I was able to afford my fees.

Our main goal is to rebuild our destroyed lives and home in North Gaza.

We returned to our homes after 15 months of displacement and suffering and even after our return, the suffering continues due to the interruption of basic everyday necessities like water, electricity, gas and internet and the complete destruction of the infrastructure.
