Hello, my wife and I, Ruslana Highley, are asking family, friends and everyone to help us in this great time of need. Ruslana's family and our friends are still stranded in Chernihiv and other cities and towns in the West of the country, where they are fighting to stay alive and holding out for the war to end. Ruslana's parents are still in their house, without power now and heat. Luckily, they have a small generator to run and wood to burn in their stove to keep warm and to have basic electricity. They are surviving on food stored by canning last summer, but for how long we don't know. They have even taken in additional people to help feed and provide shelter, at one point up to eleven people were staying with them. Grocery stores are running low, basic supply chains have broken down. If one is able to find an open grocery store, they will only accept cash in hand. We have been sending money to help our family and friends who desperately need it, but we can't do it alone. We are asking anyone with extra funds, and a soft heart, to help us provide the basic needs of these people. Some of our friends have escaped to the west of the country, where the shelling is far less than the east, but they are in need of funds to provide rental and food for their families.
please help us help them, Glory to Ukraine, and Glory to the Heroes!
