Emergency help for Tina to LEAVE

I ran into a friend/prior co-worker last night. I could tell something was wrong, and there is. For privacy reasons, she has asked me not to use her name, in fear of embarrassment, in fear of her life, and in fear of judgement as a woman and a mother. Some of you may know her, so I will call her “Tina” Her story hit home for me, as I’m sure it will for many others. With tears in my eyes, I am going to ask the community for help for her. Any and all donations I will give to her personally, and to her discretion, she will contact you to say thank you

Last night when I saw her, she just got done with a lengthy police report/investigation. So it was a lot of crying, anger, and I know the little bit I heard, unfortunately, was not all of it! For the last 2 years she has been in an abusive relationship with the father of her 2 small children. She lost her job because of calling into work too many times, either he left her with no one to watch the kids, or she had been up all night crying, or she flat out didn’t want anyone to see whatever injury occurred the night before. She has no family here, so she stayed. For longer than anyone should.

Friday, June 4, he came home from work and one of their children was sick. In her words “I knew I was going to be in trouble, he thinks I make them sick on purpose” And that is just what happened. However, this time, he pushed her around and told her he was leaving, her and “those kids” better be gone by the time he returned in the morning, or she “will be sorry”So she packed what she could and left. She used what money she had, to rent a hotel room for 7 days, and is going to seek emergency help Monday, with me, as she also has no car!

The closest family that he doesn’t know about, is in PA, which is her goal. She has reached out to them, and they agreed to let her and her kids go stay, but they don’t have enough money for 3 tickets to get her there, which is about $1,500. In the meantime, he texted her not to come back, threatened her life, and then cut her phone off. I got her a cheap one today, and offered my home as a place to stay when her hotel stay is up, so she is currently semi-safe... but I’m on my own here also!

She is very reluctant to put this out there, and ask for any help, but I insisted. I know exactly how it feels to not ask for help, and I know exactly how it feels when I receive help from anyone, especially strangers! ♥️

I know the hesitation given about giving money to someone you don’t know, and don’t even know their name, but I figured I could use my name for her. If everyone can spare even just $5, we can get her to her family in PA.
