Hello Friends, Family and anyone able to help! I am starting an emergency fundraiser for my daughter, son in law and four children.
Sunday night into Monday morning, my son in law Tyler spent several hours in the emergency room undergoing multiple tests due to pain he was having. He was told to get an appoint with an OSU Urologist the next day due to the severity of the situation. They couldn’t see him until April. So luckily he found a highly recommended physician through Ohio Health. It has been determined that he has a large mass and his urologist is 98% sure due to testing that it is Testicular Cancer. He is down right now and within 7-10 days Tyler will be going in for removal. It is an outpatient surgery, however, he will have a 4 week recovery time.
Tyler is the sole working partner to financially provide for their family, while my daughter Aubrey stays home taking care of the home responsibilities and the children who at this time are 8, 6, 2 and 1 years old. Also transporting to schools, appointments, etc. With such short notice it is virtually impossible for her to find a job making enough to carry them through the next couple months let alone a trustworthy baby sitter who can also transport to multiple locations. Not to mention Tyler will be on strict aftercare with light exertion and no lifting so she will need to be able to be there to help him out as well.
So, with all of the above being said, their income has literally stopped as of Sunday evening. Tyler currently works for a small company and is not able to obtain disability of any kind through them. They are looking into any emergency help they may be able to get if any, but it definitely would not be what they need to keep their roof over their heads, utilities on and food in their bellies. Not to mention prescriptions and necessities. Remember, two of the little ones are still in diapers.
They have come up with a very modest budget of what it would take to keep them afloat for two months until Tyler is able to return to work. (Pending biopsy of the mass and if he needs further body scans for that “C” word). Of course if they are able to obtain any emergency help, the amount of this fundraiser would decrease.
I will tell you they didn’t want to resort to these measures, but as of now, there are no other options for them. They would be eternally grateful for any help possible at this time for their family to meet their needs. Even saying a prayer, leaving a note of encouragement or making a dish for dinner would be beyond appreciated!
Thank you so much for taking the time to read this story behind their emotional hardship they will be facing the next couple of months.
