Hi everyone, I’m asking for help for my dog Raider, and this is honestly one of the hardest things I’ve had to do. Raider is an American  pitbull I’ve had since he was a puppy. He’s not just my dog — he’s my family, my comfort, and my best friend. Recently, Raider developed a serious cervical spine issue, and since then everything has changed. He’s in pain and struggling with things that used to be easy. His back legs are weak, he’s wobbly when he walks, and his paws sometimes fold under him. Watching him go through this has been heartbreaking. What makes it even harder is that mentally, he’s still him. He’s still eating like a little fatty, drinking, wanting to move around, and trying to do the things he loves. His spirit is still there — his body is just not cooperating right now. The neurologist recommended an MRI and possible surgery, which would cost around $5,000+ just to start, and closer to $10,000 total with everything included. Unfortunately, that’s not something I can afford right now. Because of that, I’m looking into acupuncture and cold laser therapy as a more affordable way to help manage his pain, improve his mobility, and give him a real chance at getting better.
