Emergency help for my bonus mom Audrey

Hi, I am Kristen, and I am asking you to consider helping Audrey: a generous soul who is an artist, teacher, and in-home caregiver - not to mention a shining example of how important and meaningful it is to serve others.

I am coordinating this fundraiser for Audrey because she's up against 3 massive expenses that have hit all at once - a major home plumbing breakdown causing a strain on her entire town's water supply, the risk of being disqualified from having homeowner's insurance unless she makes specified structural repairs (that they won't cover!), and fallout from roof damage caused by faulty equipment installation.

For the expenses related to the roof, there is a court case underway. But Audrey also finds herself in the difficult position of having to secure a new lawyer in that fight.

Bills are pouring in, and she needs help immediately - starting with $6000 for the home repairs, and $3000 for the plumbing. Thankfully, she already has contractors secured to make timely repairs to satisfy the deadlines she's been given: which are both in December. The challenge that comes with responding swiftly is that there's no time to lose in collecting the funds needed to make it possible.

Who is Audrey? If you've ever heard me refer to my "Other Mom", she's who I'm talking about! We go back 30 years. I had the good fortune of meeting her when I was a teen. So much credit goes to Audrey for her consistency and support as a nurturing adult in my life. She was my guiding force, my safe-space provider, and most of all: my door-opener for chances at a better, fuller, happier life. There's no telling how things would've turned out for me without Audrey's initiative-taking, and the way she stepped in to become my bonus parent. She provided much-needed structure and encouragement when I needed it most.

The support she gave me is just one example of Audrey's special gift - she makes sure the needs of others don't get overlooked. In all of the years that I have observed her volunteering and taking care of others, I can't recall a time when she has ever asked for help for herself.

But the time has come, and the need is urgent. Will you help me support my Other Mom Audrey, for all the times she's given so much to others?
