Emergency Help for Herat Earthquake Victims
Donation protected
“The two earthquakes, both 6.3 magnitude, hit Herat Province, along the country’s border with Iran, on Saturday, causing mud-brick homes in several districts to come crashing down and thousands of people in the province’s capital city to rush out of their houses and office buildings as the ground shook beneath them. At least seven tremors followed the initial quakes.” NY times
The villages in western part of Afghanistan have been reduced to rubble, and the death toll is tragically soaring after a devastating series of earthquakes struck Herat. Local officials have confirmed more than 2000 deaths, but the true extent of this disaster is expected to be even more heart-wrenching.
Families in Herat are facing unimaginable challenges, with homes destroyed and hospitals overwhelmed. It's a desperate situation, and we can't stand by idly. We've launched this GoFundMe campaign to provide emergency assistance to those in need.
Your contribution, no matter how big or small, can make a significant impact. Every dollar raised will go towards providing vital relief, including food, clean water, shelter, and medical care, to the affected families and communities.
Let's come together as a global community and extend a helping hand to those who need it the most during this difficult time. Your support will bring hope and comfort to the people of Herat as they rebuild their lives.
Please consider donating and sharing this campaign with your friends and family. Your generosity will make a meaningful difference in the lives of those facing unimaginable hardship.
Thank you for being a part of the relief efforts. Together, we can provide hope and healing to the people of Afghanistan and Herat. #Global_Shapers_Herat_Hub #HelpHerat
