My name is Cathy, and I am reaching out because my daughter and I are facing an emergency. I was diagnosed with cancer in October, and since then, life has become a daily struggle. I am unable to work due to my illness and can barely walk most days. The stress of not being able to provide for my daughter has been overwhelming. Our refrigerator broke, and getting enough food and clothing for her is a constant challenge. I am at my breaking point, with very little left to keep us going.
Right now, my biggest fear is losing our home. My landlord is threatening eviction and wants to take us to court on Monday. I am desperate to keep a roof over our heads so my daughter can feel safe and secure. On top of that, I have no transportation to get to my doctors, who are all the way in Los Angeles, and I have no one to help care for my daughter while I seek treatment. I haven’t even been able to start my cancer treatments yet because I am so overwhelmed by everything happening at once.
Donations will go directly toward paying our rent to keep our home, providing food and clothing for my daughter, and covering medical needs like transportation and medication. I also need help with childcare so I can begin my treatments. I am so grateful for any support you can give. If the roles were reversed, I would be there for anyone in need, and now I am hoping for angels to look out for me and my daughter. I believe in miracles and am thankful for any help to keep our home safe and help me get the care I need.
