Emergency help for Mariuta Animal Sanctuary in Romania

The animal sanctuary is caring for 1300 abandoned, abused and forgotten animals, incl. 80 puppies.
The existing shelter structures are worn down and no longer sufficient nor providing proper protection. Without urgent repairs and new safe spaces, the animals will suffer through cold, snow, rain, and constant mud, putting their lives at risk.
Winter has arrived in rural Romania with temperatures sometimes falling below -20c, a fatal situation for the small puppies and cats.
I’ve supported Mariuta for years and have volunteered my time collecting and delivering donations from Germany to Romania, last transport of nearly two tons of supplies in October 2025.
You can see the mission documented here -> https://www.instagram.com/mission_mariuta?igsh=aTM3ODI0djBqaHhi&utm_source=qr
So, I’ve seen first-hand how much care and effort goes into giving these animals a second chance.
This fundraiser is for construction materials to:
• Build new, safe spaces especially for the 80 puppies
• Repair damaged shelter areas for the cats
• Improve living conditions and create waterproof areas so animals can survive the winter
These repairs are vital and the shelter cannot continue operating safely without the building materials needed.
I can’t do this alone. But together, we can. So, if you’ve ever wished to truly make a difference, this is that moment.
Please donate, share, and talk about this fundraiser.
Every action matters. Every euro helps save a life.
This fundraiser is based in Germany, and all funds will go for construction materials* for and only the benefit of Mariuta Animal Sanctuary in Romania.
Thank you for caring.
*Please note: if no sufficient funds are raised, we would like to buy from what is raised: a stove (for the daily cooking of the rice and chicken for the old and sick dogs as the available stove only has one functioning burner, or an electric dryer (for the blankets and towels that are being washed daily), or food for the puppies and old and sick dogs.
