My name is Amal, I reside in Canada and I am helping my friend Ameer raise funds for his family in Gaza. With the constant bombardment and devastation in Gaza, it is critical to help Ameer and his family of 12 evacuate and rebuild their lives elsewhere. Even with the ceasefire announcement, we are aware that the ceasefire has conditions and will be implemented in phases. As a result of this, life and safety in Gaza is extremely unpredictable. Therefore it is a must that we try to do whatever we can to help save a family who has been burdened with such devastation. Millions have been displaced in Gaza, any amount would help and would be appreciated. Funds raised will be directly sent via PayPal to Ameer. “Hello, my brothers and sisters, this is our place. After we were displaced for the last time, we had nothing left Winter is coming and we are in the worst condition. We live in a very bad place. There is nothing to protect us from the cold and rain in winter. Please help me buy a shade or a tent to cover us in the winter. We are 12 people. I hope you will stand by my side.

The most painful thing during this war is displacement from one place to another, without keeping the things we use in our lives. We are suddenly deported and we are unable to take a piece of shade to cover our situation. This is our displacement for the 7th time. We are tired, world. I hope you will stand with us

This is just a small part of the difficult suffering that we suffer every day in the tents, despite the intense heat and diseases due to the smoke from the fire, which can cause a heart attack for me and my mother. Please help me and my family to obtain basic food and supplies.

I am a 21-year-old young man. My family consists of 12 members and they rely on me. I need financial aid to save my family. My family was displaced and exposed to danger 5 times. They were miraculously saved from death. We are now in Gaza, Rafah, under harsh conditions of bombing, killing, destruction, and lack of food and drink. I fear that I will lose one of my family members. My relatives died during the war due to lack of treatment and healthy eating. My cousin is sick due to pollution. As the bombings got closer, the more we wanted to evacuate to Rafah, but that decision wasn't easy since we were going to leave our beautiful house. We unfortunately left last minute and only left with backpacks with a few of our belongings”

UPDATE:

As of March 18, 2025, the ceasefire has been broken and was short lived. After a year and a half of war, Ameer and his family are still living under extremely difficult circumstances. After returning back to their destroyed home when the ceasefire was announced, to being displaced once again due to the resumption of war and genocide. Ameer and his family have evacuated and are currently displaced. Additionally, the Rafah crossing is closed and not available for evacuation. To make matters worse, not a single drop of water or aid has entered Gaza, as aid has not been allowed in. The bombardment also does not stop. Ameer and his family are living in constant terror. We hope that this message reaches those who are willing to help this dire situation. Brothers and sisters, a little certainly goes a long way. Hello brothers and sisters, this is our house. It has been destroyed, its walls have shaken, its pillars have weakened, and it has become unfit to live in. We are afraid that it will fall on us. I hope you will help me repair it.

Our little girl has a disease due to the allergies, insects, lack of food and the poor conditions we are living in. We are facing a difficult life, and it is much more difficult for our children.

Update January 2026:

Winters in Gaza are very difficult with flooding throughout the camp and water pooling between shelters. Our temporary, fragile tents offer limited protection from the harsh weather. Our current enviornment leaves us highly vulnerable to disease, and further flooding.

Our tents and tarps are clearly not weatherproof. Your generous donations can help assist us obtain weatherproof tents and tarp, warm bedding and clothing, food and clean water.
