On September 10, 2025, catastrophic flooding struck Bali, destroying homes, lives, and communities. For Eta, who has dedicated her entire life to rescuing Bali’s stray and abused dogs, the tragedy has been devastating. She has lost everything—her home, her sanctuary, and heartbreakingly, some of the dogs she cared for with so much love.
Eta’s sanctuary has always been a haven for forgotten dogs, giving them a second chance at life. Yesterday, the floodwaters rose so quickly that she was forced to watch her world wash away. The surviving dogs are now in urgent need of safe shelter, food, and medical care. Many have been transferred to the care of a trusted local vet, while others are still missing and must be found.
Every donation will go directly to Eta to:
- Rebuild and repair the sanctuary once the water recedes
- Cover emergency boarding and safe housing for the surviving dogs
- Provide urgent medical treatment, food, and clean water
- Replace essential supplies and infrastructure that were destroyed
I know Eta personally. When I was in Bali this July, she and her team helped me rescue a dog named Chayha, who otherwise would not have survived. I have seen firsthand her kindness, sacrifice, and relentless fight for Bali’s dogs. Eta has always stepped up for animals in need—now, it’s our turn to step up for her.
Please donate what you can and share this campaign widely. Together, we can help Eta rebuild and give her dogs the safety, care, and love they deserve.
You can also follow Eta’s official Instagram, @mybalidogsrescue, to see her daily work and the full scale of this tragedy.
Thank you for your compassion and support. ❤
PS. Chayha, was at her sanctuary when the floods occurred and fortunately he has survived (the last picture is of him (black and white dog in the corner) and his friends who have been rescued from the flood.
