My wife Elizabeth and children are in the Philippines, still waiting for a Home Office application to be looked at for children, it has taken us 15yrs to get to this place through many trials as a family and separation across the world for 10yrs, because of this. THEN.....THIS HITS US.......
We thought Elizabeth had heartburn, but very quickly it turned out to be a heart attack [myocardial infarction with ischaemia] which was ignored for a day or so. Finally, 'Covid at hospitals' was out of her mind because it was now a serious medical problem, so she was rushed to Cebu city hospital about 3-4hrs away. Doctor said any further attacks could have been fatal. We are unexpectedly caught with a hospital cost. Operation and hospital costs [at admission were estimated to be £8,000] now estimated to be around £11,000++
A deposit was required or nothing would happen at the hospital, so I managed to empty my £2,000 emergency savings for deposit. So that leaves me with about £9,000 to locate. I decided to GoFundMe with £3,000 and see if anybody wishes to help us? No pressure, we are grateful for whatever you can help with to reach our target.
The OP is tomorrow and my wife may be in for 5days, but she cannot leave hospital until bill is paid, so we are under real pressure. I thank God for the NHS, where we have no pressure to pay mounting hospital bills - God bless the NHS-UK.
