Emergency Funeral For My Brother

Good morning, afternoon, or night,
If you're reading this, then it's probably because you've read a dedicated post either shared or reposted by a family member or friend. So, in that case, thank you for visiting our page. On September 6,2019, our mother lost her loving Superman of a son, we lost our devoted brother, and our nieces and nephew lost their expressive uncle. His name is Gervacio but our family nicknamed him Willie Gee. He was very ill for a long time and suffered with deep depression, a traumatic past, and chronic back pain that surgeries failed to correct. When he and our mother agreed to get the proper help that he needed in the hospital, the doctors then transferred him to a rehabilitation home where, coincidentally, our late grandfather spent his last days. Although the thought was daunting, it was one of the closer places for him to get help that was approved by his insurance. Our mother was by his side supporting him and trying to keep his spirits high through the transfer. Moments later after some conversation, he had horrible, burning chest pain and stomach pain, so our mother called the ambulance. As to which, no one in the rehabilitation home was responding to his symptoms. Upon the ambulance’s arrival, he became unresponsive. Our mother was terrified and was screaming for his response during what she didn’t know was his last breaths. The ambulance then drove him to the next hospital, that hospital just so happened to be the same hospital our mother worked at for years prior, Kennedy in Stratford. There he was pronounced passed. Our mother reached out to all of us and we were all at Kennedy within an hour of her cry. Our close-knit family seemed to part ways as age, children, and differences aroused. But during that crucial moment none of that mattered and we were all together again to love and to be there for one another, which is what he always wanted. We all thought and hoped that the strong, charming, and hilarious man that we all knew was invincible but seeing him in that hospital bed still and lifeless showed that he was human, just like the rest of us. As time passed the medical examiner told us that he needed to be transferred downstairs, which is where he’s been since. Due to unfortunate life obstacles, money has always been tight, and we've never actually imagined having to have a funeral for one of us so soon. We've counted the money in our pockets and wallets, asked family members and churches, but can’t round up anywhere near enough money for the process of having a funeral. Not to cremate, but to celebrate our Puerto Rican Superman. Please help, whether it’s reading, sharing, or donating. Any and every donation helps. Help our mother lay her son to rest peacefully. Help our family be together one last time as we lay Willie Gee to rest.
