UPDATE: We rescued Molly and took her to the vets for a check over, vaccinations, deworming and defleeing and she's now safe in commercial kennels. She will be up for fostering or adoption when we've had more time to assess her
Paddy's Dog Rescue has been asked by Merseyside Police to take in a dog left in a flat in Liverpool after their owner died. The kind officers have been going to feed Molly, a shar pei, and have desperately been trying many rescues to avoid her being euthanised but they're all full.
I've said we can help this afternoon if we can raise some funds. We will need to pay out £250 for a vet check, vaccinations, deworming and defleeing before she can go into commercial kennels at the cost of £475 a month. She will also need spaying at a cost of around £300.
If you can foster or adopt please get in touch. It would be fantastic to not put this poor girl who must be frightened through kennels for too long.
She will have to be assessed before she can be fostered or adopted. Police say she is friendly but we don't know too much else about her right now. To be on the safe side we'd love to hear from people without cats or young children. We should soon know whether she is good with other dogs.
