Hi, my name is Ava.

I am an 18 year old full time traveler/nomad.

Yesterday the car that I live in full time got totaled when a deer jumped in front of my car.

It has been heartbreaking in so many ways.

Being miles away from family/support has made this all the harder.

I have been lucky to have had a friend traveling with me who has helped me navigate this and get me safety out of the situation.

Costs are adding up quickly

I had to rent a uhaul because I can not rent a car (under 21), that ads up fast and will be over 200$

I had to book a last minute flight back home to WA, another big expense.

My flight is not for several days and so I also need to figure out a place to stay (yet another expense).

And on top of all of that, I need to search for a new vehicle. Hopefully insurance will help with that but there was a lot of miles on my car so I am not feeling too optimistic

I am feeling grateful that I am not injured (the accident very well could have hurt me).

I am also so grateful for my friends and community who have all reached out to help and encouraged me to create this go-fund-me.
