Help Treasure with her Vet Care

Donation protected
Hi, I'm Jenica (Nyx), and I'm continuing to seek help to raise veterinary funds for my 9-year old kitty and baby, Treasure.

My family has been in a tight spot since the holidays, and I'm a full-time university student actively looking for part-time jobs to ensure that I at least can cover my cat's needs. These two recent health emergencies for Treasure has greatly scared me, and I don't want to be unprepared anymore for what more may come as she undergoes her recovery journey. People close to me know that Treasure is my baby and she is the reason that I keep on living ever since I adopted her in 2022.

Since last week of December 2025, Treasure has been getting sick. She was then diagnosed with gastroenteritis (she should be recovered from this already) and feline hyperthyroidism to which she is currently being medicated on. Then February 2026, another scary health concern emerged which almost took her life, and since then she has been diagnosed with feline cholangiohepatitis (inflammation of gallbladder) to which she is also currently being medicated on. Treasure is only 9 years old, and I want to make sure that she makes it to her 10th birthday this April 4, 2026... and that many more birthdays come after that despite these challenges.

This fundraiser has a $6000 goal! The funds received will all go to Treasure's needs, specifically:
  • her prescription food and medication
  • her emergency/return vet check-ups (including tests deemed necessary by the vet); and,
  • (if it goes beyond the goal) to help pay for the loan I borrowed to have her hospitalised last February

Updates will be posted whenever the funds are used and whenever there's news with Treasure's health! All donations and even shares are much appreciated, and I'm already thankful that you even had the time to read this!

(previous fundraiser goal, resolved partially)
Treasure is in a life-threatening situation right now. She was doing fine ever since she got treated for her gastroenteritis and her hyperthyroidism, but since February 17 I noticed a decline in her appetite and bowel movements. I suspected that it may have been the sudden change in her diet (because the clinic mistakenly gave me an adult formula diet instead of her usual senior formula diet and it took a week to get her actual food... she ate it on the first few days but gradually decreased her eating activity), but there was also the possibility of her hyperthyroidism and medication playing a part in this. Since February 18, I've been syringe feeding her since she completely lost interest in eating, started vomiting again, and doesn't poop. Her skin was also a yellow tint (jaundice). She also had significant weight loss which was scarily similar to her previous weight loss, except this time it's happening quicker.
By February 19 I called her clinic to ask for an appointment, and Feb 21 they squeezed her in to get tests done on her. The vet said that there is indeed damage on her liver, but he needs further diagnostics to pinpoint exactly what her illness is. Here is the invoice for this appointment. All her remaining funds of $719.79 were used, plus support that I'm grateful to have received from loved ones to pay the full $934.12 including taxes, which also includes some medication and supplement for her:
The vet highly suggested that I hospitalize Treasure with them so she could get her fluids and nutrients back, and to subject her to abdominal ultrasound to check what's up with her liver, but it's beyond the funds I have left for her then. I'm once again asking for assistance as I'm still in the process of applying for part time jobs that will accept me and my schedule as a full-time student, and my parents cannot support me in supporting Treasure due to our financial state at this moment (my mom has also been in the hospital). The quote for Treasure's 3-day hospitalisation and abdominal ultrasound is at $2,220.66, but I'm planning to reach a $4,500 goal (which is why I increased the goal, also considering the fees this site will deduct) at the very least in case they extend her hospitalisation once it happens, and to afford her liver biopsy which the vet also advised that we should do alongside the ultrasound. Here is the quote from the vet:
I'm always thankful for either donations or sharing of this link to anyone you know who could help. If you are here in Canada and would wish to etransfer, you can send me a message through my Instagram (if we're connected there) so I can give you my details. Again, I'm sorry for asking once again and for being helpless, I just want my baby to get the immediate help she needs before it's too late. Thank you for taking the time to read through all this. ♥️

(This previous goal has been reached)
We went to an emergency vet last December 26 because she had not eaten since the night of the 25th and has been experiencing diarrhea and vomiting with blood. Right now, she's on prescribed medication but she's still not eating. I need help getting her properly diagnosed as my family, especially I, can't afford this at this crucial moment. Vet said she may have IBD or worse–pancreatitis, and tests are needed to be run in order to pinpoint her exact condition. We were quoted almost $2000 CAD (including taxes) for both her blood work and x-ray, but I am hoping to reach $3000 CAD just in case there are more medication or treatment needed after these tests. All proceeds will go to Treasure's wellness, and I will be grateful for any amount received, especially given that it's currently a holiday season.

Those who know me also know that Treasure is my world, and I wanna make sure she has a fighting chance. You are not obligated to donate, but it would mean a lot to me if you are able to spread this word out. Sending you love and well wishes this end of year, and thank you for lending a bit of your moment to read this.
