Emergency Funds for the Brown Family

Imagine everything you owned and worked for your entire life being engulfed in flames within seconds. Literally left with only the clothes on your back. This destruction just affected a whole community in North Texas, including the Brown Family, multi-generational residents of Glen Rose. This is Julie Voss's family, and because she is part of the AmCap Family, we know just how to make Gives Back Day continue by spreading the word about this devastation to all of you -- the heart of AmCap.

Five of the seven Brown family homes were left in ashes after the wildfires wreaked havoc on their combined 200 acres of land. The fires jumped the highway and engulfed properties so quickly that people could only escape with the clothes on their backs, leaving behind homes, tractors, animals, trailers, medicine, family heirlooms, clothes, furniture, and all the equipment used for their livelihood and work. (One amazing triumph - the animals were able to camp out in a stock tank and survived the fires!)

So much is still unknown as the fires are only 10% contained & still sparking in areas, people are unable to access their properties, and honestly, the community looks like a war zone. As of right now, there is no electricity; water wells are non-functioning as all components were burnt, the grass is burnt, so livestock are left without food; lodging is very limited, and the Brown Family is still in shock over everything lost in mere hours.

Since The Brown Family (totaling seven family units) is now displaced with no permanent dwelling, collecting supplies and items is hard as they will be living out of suitcases and moving around right now. We are collecting donations so they can use funds to take care of their immediate needs as things arise. Your donations will be used to buy basic needs such as
