Dear friends,

Our beloved friend and long-time leader for multi-racial justice and liberation, Phil Hutchings, needs our help. As many of you may know, after a lifetime of community service, Phil has faced financial hardships in his old age. His fixed income from Social Security has been insufficient to pay for his basic needs, including utilities. His friends have been helping him apply for affordable housing and utility subsidy programs. At this point, Phil's phone has been cut off and his utility could be shut off.

We are organizing this emergency effort to pay Phil's phone and utility bills.
