emergency medical funds needed For Sanctuary

hello everyone,

my name is Alice Keith and I am lucky enough to volunteer at Ralphy’s Retreat Animal Sanctuary. They are 100% not for profit. They have been hit hard with medical expenses above and beyond the normal. Since 2023 we have lost a goat, an alpaca, a turkey and last week a donkey. The bills are beyond climbing and today we ask for help to save Alice the Rooster since yesterday the bill for his care is already surpassed $2000 and climbing. Please read his story.

Emergency Help Needed

Alice The Rooster is currently at the urgent care clinic. Yesterday we noticed he was acting out of sorts . He was hiding and limping and a large wound was located underneath him covered by feathers. We immediately took him to the vet where he was given an antibiotic, pain meds and the recommendation to give him Epson salt bathes, and to seek additional urgent treatment by a specialist. Today we rushed Alice to an emergency care clinic that treats all animals, including birds and roosters . The vets are most concerned about his leg. It is very hot and swollen and has limited mobility. He is currently undergoing blood work and a CT scan as we anxiously await the results. One of the concerns is sepsis. Please pray for Alice.

Alice is a rooster like no other. He is one of the first residents to greet visitors. He is our honorary tour guide and is often found in visitors arms asleep or perched on their shoulder. He needs to be involved in activity around the sanctuary and is the ultimate photobomber

Alice has helped hundreds if not thousands of people learn that chickens are sentient beings with personalities, feelings and desires. He has helped people overcome their fear of birds and befriends everyone that visits Ralphy’s. I am quite certain, he is also the only rooster with a flare for fashion!

So far, Alice’s medical bill is aprroximately $2000 and mounting. If you can, please, please, please help bring our special boy home. Please do not estimate the power of $5!
