Hello,

My name is Emily Hager, and I am the School Counselor at Lockwood STEAM Academy in East Oakland. On August 25th, the father of a 5th-grade student in my school was tragically killed in an automobile accident, leaving the mom to take care of their five children independently. All of the children are between the ages of 2 and 14. This is a considerable loss of permanent income for the family. In addition to the grief the family is experiencing, this has created great financial hardship. As a school community, we hope to raise funds to support this family to create financial stability for basic needs during this difficult time. Thank you very much.
