Hi everyone!

I am Lady Katya and I've been a freelance illustrator for about 8 years. Many of you probably know me from DeviantArt, Twitter, Bluesky, and FurAffinity (mostly DeviantArt). For safety reasons, I won't state the nature of my art, but they are typically on the spicy side with lots of ropes and handcuffs.

I've recently became unemployed and I have decided to close commissions back in May. Because of that, I ran out of money trying to keep myself afloat, and I am now over -$300 in my account and I am racking up overdraft fees. My mom is not helping me anymore financially and flat out refuses to, so I am in deep, deep trouble right now. And my boyfriend has helped me a lot this year, and I really don't wanna burden him even if he always tells me that he'd help if I need it. Plus, I really want to eventually help myself pull myself out of this financial hell again.

I want to assert that I am currently looking for work. But it's been hard and I can't find work fast enough.

The reason why I am choosing not to reopen commissions and decided to open a GoFundMe instead is because I am very burnt out and I want to focus on finishing the rest of my commission queue before I reopen commissions next year. Although I generally have very patient clients, I am committed to finishing my current queue of commissions first! And also, I want to focus on working on more personal art that I can post weekly for my followers again.
