Emergency Funds for Justin’s Recovery & Family

Hi everyone,

I’m writing this with a heavy heart, just hours after something terrifying happened. Last night, my fiancé Justin was rushed to the ER and diagnosed with Rhabdomyolysis—a dangerous and painful condition that causes the body’s muscles to break down rapidly, releasing toxins that can overwhelm the kidneys and lead to life-threatening complications.

It came out of nowhere. One moment Justin was just trying to rest, the next, we were in the emergency room, hearing words we’d never imagined would apply to us. There were IVs, blood tests, and constant monitoring. The fear was real—and it still is.

Justin is still in the hospital, in excruciating pain, barely able to move without intense discomfort. His muscles are weak, his body is overwhelmed, and simple tasks feel impossible. He’s exhausted, disoriented, and fighting through physical distress that most of us can’t begin to imagine. And even though he’s receiving care, the journey is far from over—recovery will take time, support, and continued medical attention.

We’re still reeling. On top of the emotional toll, we’re already feeling the weight of what this means financially—medical bills, time off work, medications, and basic necessities while Justin fights to heal.

If you know Justin, you know he’s the strong, steady type. The one who keeps showing up for others no matter what. But right now… he needs help. We both do. This happened so fast—we weren’t prepared for any of it.
