Emergency funds for Joe Tabios and family
Donation protected
This Summer, after experiencing symptoms for several months Joe Tabios received the unfortunate news that he has been diagnosed with Stage 4 stomach cancer. With multiple masses discovered throughout his body, his care team has begun chemotherapy in addition to pain management therapy.
Joe has worked for Chugach for 27 years, most recently as a safety supervisor for government contracts. Before working for Chugach he was in the Air Force for 4 years during the Gulf War, working as an Aerospace technician in Munitions at Fairchild Air Force Base. Joe is just an all-around exceptional human being that cares and loves for others and leads by example through his commitment to his family, his culture, and country.
Unable to work during this aggressive period of treatment and pain management, we are seeking funds to lessen the financial burden on his grieving family. Cindy must leave work frequently to transport Joe to-and-from appointments and monitor/provide in-home care. Any funds contributed are greatly appreciated and will be directed toward all aspects of Joe’s care needs including treatments, medications, supplies, home equipment, and travel expenses for family support.
